Acer Intros TimelineX Notebooks
Acer has officially announced its TimelineX series notebooks, which are a succession of the company's existing Timeline notebooks. The TimelineX series notebooks add Core i3/i5/i7 processor chips and Intel HD integrated graphics to some models. The model lineup includes the following:
All will be available with a Core i3/i5/i7 series processor save for the 1830T, the smallest notebook of the group which will feature an Intel Core 2 Solo. Acer claims the 1830T can go for up to 8 hours on battery while the rest of the notebooks should be able to get 12 hours depending on configuration.
The notebooks will be available with up to 8GB of RAM and a 640GB hard drive, and certain models will feature ATI dedicated graphics (HD 5470 or HD 5650).
Acer reportedly expects its Timeline and TimelineX series to make up 30-40% of its total notebook shipments going forward.
