HP Intros New EliteBook, ProBook Business Notebooks
HP today introduced several new business notebooks, including a new EliteBook convertible tablet and several ProBook notebooks.
The EliteBook 2740p is HP's premium business convertible tablet, featuring a 12.1-inch multi-touch display with LED backlighting; an outdoor-viewable display is optional. It has a starting weight of 3.8 pounds. HP claims a five-hour runtime off of the standard six-cell li-ion battery, and up to 11 hours when combined with the optional HP 2700 Ultra-Slim Battery. The 2740p will be available next month starting at $1,599.

The EliteBook 2540p is a premium business ultraportable offering Intel Core processors. It features a 12.1-inch display and optional Gobi wireless broadband. The company claims up to four hours of battery life from the standard three-cell battery, eight hours off the six-cell, and up to 10.5 hours off the nine-cell.
Both the 2740p and the 2540p are MIL-STD 810F certified for ruggedness. The 2540p will be available next month starting at $1,099.

The new ProBooks start at $719 and are available with Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processors and available ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4350 dedicated graphics.
