The attack of the netbooks continues as HP announces the upcoming availability of all new HP Mini netbooks. These low-cost ultraportables feature new Imprint Finish designs, standard VGA output, and your choice of 3-cell or 6-cell batteries. Starting at just $279, the new Minis might be just right for summer vacation.
HP today announced three new additions to the HP Mini family of netbooks. HP likes to call their netbooks "companion PCs" so that consumers understand these are just basic laptops designed for browsing the web and checking email, but the new Minis offer a bit more functionality than the old Mini 1000 thanks to a standard VGA port and new layout for the USB ports. Both the new HP Mini 110 and HP Mini 1101 are small enough to carry with you at all times in a purse, backpack, or briefcase.

The new HP Mini 110 XP Edition and the HP Mini 110 Mobile Internet (Mi) Edition were designed for Internet-centric consumers to stay connected to what’s important to them, while at home or traveling. HP offers the Mini 110 in your choice of Pink Chic, Black Swirl or White Swirl HP Imprint finishes.
The HP Mini 1101 is a new "small and medium business companion PC" and is designed specifically for frequent business travelers. The Mini 1101 comes in a standard Black Swirl design.
The new Mini models are as stylish as they are mobile, starting at 2.33 pounds and measuring just over 1-inch thick. Both models come with a 10.1-inch diagonal standard (1024x576) or optional high-definition (1366x768) LED widescreen display, a keyboard that is 92 percent the size of a standard notebook PC keyboard, and a built-in webcam and microphone.
Like any netbook, the new HP Minis are designed for consumers and business professionals who need a basic thin and light laptop for checking email, browsing the Web, or listening to music and watching movies while on the go.
HP Mini 110 models also include a "Syncables Desktop" solution, which provides automatic synchronization of music, pictures, videos and other files between an HP Mini and a primary notebook or desktop PC.
