The Dell Inspiron Mini 9 netbook is now available with AT&T mobile broadband. The embedded WWAN solution is a $125 upgrade; a $120 rebate is available to customers who sign a two-year AT&T DataConnect Service plan. Details:

10" Acer Aspire One on the way

Acer plans to launch an Aspire One netbook next year with a 10-inch display according to a DigiTimes report. It will probably have the same specifications as the 8.9-inch One on the market today, including the Intel Atom processor and Windows XP.

GearLog did some investigating and found this performance drop is actually planned; Apple forces the performance hit because it "prevents the computer from shutting down if it demands more power than the A/C adapter alone can provide." A-DATA introduces SSD with mini USB port

A-DATA recently introduced a 2.5-inch Solid State Disk (SSD) featuring a built-in mini-USB 2.0 port to its Xtreme Performance Gear (XPG) line of products. This means the drive can pull double duty inside and outside the computer. The XPG SSD has a SATA II interface, 100MB/s write and 170MB/s read speed. No launch date has been confirmed, but the drive will come in 32GB, 64GB, 128GB, and 192GB capacities.
