The much rumored Dell Latitude E series appears that it's close to release. This weekend the Latitude E6400 ruggedized version laptop showed up on Dell.com where it's actually configurable and available for purchase.
As you would expect the Latitude E6400 offerings include the latest Intel Montevina processor platform, below are the options being offered:

Memory options include up to 8.0GB (only useful if you opt for Vista 64-bit), storage can be configured in the form of a ruggedized hard drive or SSD, and WWAN is offered via Verizon, AT&T and Sprint. The only graphics option with the E6400 ATG is integrated Intel graphics at this time. The Latitude E6400 ATG also has an outdoor viewable screen according to the configuration page, which is consistent with past ATG versions of the Latitude. The ATG is targeted at those that work in the field such as construction workers.
Only the E6400 ATG configuration page is available, and there are no detailed images or juicy flash based tours of the rest of the Latitude E-series on Dell.com to be found at the moment. Engadget leaked the E6400 ATG info and pictures back in March where you can get a good look at this new semi-rugged laptop.

Surely the fact the E6400 ATG is now ready to order and ship means that the rest are coming very soon...
