HP Planning More Unique Notebook Designs in 2008

Last November HP and MTV Networks announced that "Asian Odyssey," the personal design of 20-year old Joao Oliveira of Porto, Portugal, had been chosen as the winner of the "Take Action. Make Art." global notebook-design contest.  The design that won should be featured in an upcoming HP notebook as HP continues to push being on the edge of design.

Below is a graphic showing the back of a Pavilion dv2800 laptop that should be released during Spring of 2008.  The design has an Asian influence and features.  Last year HP released the special edition Verve dv2500 laptop that was a big hit with buyers.

Below is a front view of this upcoming notebook design showing that the lid design carries onto the front.  I think most will agree that this is a nice looking design, and even if it's not your cup of tea, what HP is doing with design innovation is really great and should help them do well again in 2008.
