$299 Gateway Laptop at Best Buy on Sunday and Other Deals (Updated 10/6)

It looks like the cheapo laptop wars for the holiday season is starting early. Best Buy is advertising a Gateway 15.4" Intel Celeron based laptop for $299 and the sale starts tomorrow. No rebates needed, it's all instant savings.

Notice that there will only be 10 per store, and only one can be purchased by a household. The specs for the Gateway ML6230 being sold are as follows:

Unfortunately, the price will vary somewhat by location. According to posters on FatWallet, New York and California are the only places certain to have the $299 deal at the moment, it's $349.99 in many other places. Check your Sunday morning newspaper to see what the price will be in your area.

Since there's limited availability for the Gateway laptop at Best Buy, it might be hard to score this deal.
