The D630 and D830 will obviously be replacing the current Latitude D620 and D820 notebooks which are 14.1" widescreen and 15.4" widescreen laptops respectively. The Intel Santa Rosa platform will be the major upgrade with these releases, Intel announced it will be shipping Santa Rosa in the April to May timeframe. A Swiss University website indicates the D630 will be available to students there at the end of April while a Princeton University page indicates students coming in for the Fall of 2007 will have the D630 as supported option to buy.

Santa Rosa / Intel Centrino Pro Overview
Intel will be releasing the "Santa Rosa" platform at the end of April, a time when many companies such as Dell will be refreshing their notebook offerings. Santa Rosa will include some of the following enhancements:
The Intel T7700 processor is one of the Centrino Pro offerings we know of, it will be a 2.40GHz processor with an 800MHz FSB. It is likely the D630 and D830 would be offering this processor.
