I decided to travel halfway around the world to the Computex show in Taipei, Taiwan to be able to see the AMD Turion 64 powered Acer Ferrari 4000 notebook and take some pictures. Kind of crazy, I know, but hey it's this sites duty to the public to do so.

Acer Ferrari 4000 Basic Specs
The top of this laptop is made of carbon-fiber composite material and has a look of a racing tire. It's cool, really cool. The only other notebook I know of to have used this material was the Sony VAIO X505. It's a fantastically rigid and protective material and provides absolutely zero flex on the screen. The overall build of the notebook is outstanding. But enough of the reading, here's a picture tour of the notebook (or should that be picture tourion of the notebook?):

AMD had so many scantily clad girls representing them it was hard to ever really pay attention to their actual products (definitely view larger image)

The Taipei 101 (yes, it's 101 stories tall) building is next to the Taipei Convention Center, it towers over you and is rather impressive. It's got a nice 5-story shopping mall on the lower levels (view larger image)
