Contest: Best Laptop Hard Luck Story

NotebookReview.com is teaming with LAPTOP Magazine to search for the best laptop hard luck story.  The 5 best stories we receive will be posted on the site and those winners will receive a 1-year free subscription to Laptop Magazine and a free t-shirt.  LAPTOP Magazine is a great monthly read that's always choc full of reviews for laptops and everything else mobile tech.

What are we looking for?

We want to hear the best laptop sob story you have.  This can be anything from telling us the time your morning coffee was accidentally deposited into the laptop's keyboard to describing how a week of your life was wasted on the phone to tech support in an effort to resolve an issue with your laptop.  Your sob story can be about something bad that happened due to your own negligence and clumsiness or it can be about problems you had because of the company or store that sold you the laptop.  As long as it makes us think, "wow, that's really rough luck", then we want to hear it.

Great, I have a story, so how do I enter?

Please use our contest entry web form to submit your story.  We will receive your entry, but if you don't fill in the email field then there will be no way for us to get back to you if you win, so be sure to supply your email address!

How long should my story be?

Your story can be two sentences or two thousand words.  Try not to be long winded though, we tend to suffer from attention deficit disorder and an impatience for reading really long stories.

When does the contest end?

The contest will run for 14-days, ending at 6:00 p.m. Thursday March 24.  We'll announce winners within a week of the contest entry closing.  Now, if our inbox is flooded we reserve the right to end the contest early and if we're starved for good stories we reserve the right to extend the contest date.  So as long as you're here now and have a story to tell, it's best that you tell it now!  We'll be sure to announce any contest extensions or early closings 24 hours in advance though.

And what happens after the contest has ended?

After the contest has ended we'll contact the winners within 7-days and then post the winning laptop hard luck stories in a NotebookReview.com article if the author agrees to having their entries published.
