EMachines m6809 and m2105 Notebooks Available

EMachines was recently bought out by the computer company Gateway.  Today EMachines announced and released its first new notebook models under this new merger.  The AMD powered 64-bit EMachines m6809 ($1549) notebook and Intel Celeron processor powered EMachines m2105, the first budget wide-screen laptop ($999), are now available for purchase from BestBuy.

EMachines m2105 Celeron based notebook is the first 15.4" widescreen laptop to be sold under $1000 with a suggested retail price of $999.

The m2106 contains an Intel Celeron 2.8GHz processor, 256MB of memory and an advanced 15.4-inch display. This is the first wide-screen laptop to break the $1,000 price barrier.
